As an annuity :
The system of a Life Annuity without charge is applied.
- Taxation as a retirement pension, after a 10% allowance (capped at €4,399 in 2025).
- Subject to social security contributions.

In capital :
The portion of capital corresponding to voluntary contributions is taxed according to the progressive income tax scale (Marginal tax rate).
Capital gains are taxed at a flat rate of 31.4% (Social security contributions 18.6% + Income tax 12.8%) or by opting for the progressive tax scale.

For amounts resulting from non-tax-deductible voluntary contributions :

As an annuity :

In the event of payout as an annuity, income tax is calculated according to the rules for a Life Annuity for Onerous Purchase .

Only a portion of the annuity is taxed, depending on the age at the time of conversion into an annuity:
- 70% if < 50 years old,
- 50% are between 50 and 59 years old.
- 40% are between 60 and 69 years old.
- 30% after age 69.
Social security contributions (18.6%) applied to this taxable portion.

In capital :

In the event of a capital withdrawal, only the capital gain is subject to taxation according to the single flat-rate levy of 31.4% (Social security contributions 18.6% + Income tax 12.8%) or by opting for the progressive tax scale option.

For payments from employee savings plans :

As an annuity :

In the event of payout as an annuity, income tax is calculated according to the rules for a Life Annuity for Onerous Purchase .
